  • This page will have all kinds of links to sites I wish to share, and I will do my best to give detailed descriptions for them and explain the differences between them (if several of the links provide the same service).

  • I will also write reviews of movies, podcasts, tv shows, books, concerts, or games, as I run across them and feel moved to express my opinion. Many of the reviews will also be in my blog, in which case I will copy the posts here.

I didn't have time to post about it until now but on Saturday I went to see Iron Man.

What can I say about it? It was a fair representation of the comic I think, the story was exciting no doubt about that. The whole movie seemed very polished, both in the visuals and the writing. Partly because of how good the special effects were, partly the screenplay, partly the acting, this movie was able to push the limits on suspending disbelief quite successfully I think.

Since I love science and technology I knew in my mind that about 90% of the fancy things seen in the movie are based off of complete mumbo-jumbo nonesense, or will not be possible anytime in the near future. That said, it didn't bother me because the movie was extremely entertaining. Yes I suppose you could make the case that you might be learning some kind of lesson about politics, responsibility, and accountability, but really... really? Are you learning anything from this movie? No, it's not educational. It is a heck of a lot of fun to watch though, and in the end, that is what movies are for aren't they? Entertainment.

P. S. Yes I am excluding documentaries. I do not mean to imply they are unimportant, but they are the minority. Also, people often go to see documentaries for entertainment as well.

Just got back home from The Mars Volta concert I went to see with my dad and my brother + his friends. My brother bought the tickets for me and my dad for our birthdays. Wow, they are awesome. The Mars Volta are amazing musicians but besides that, me and my dad both agree that was the loudest concert either of us have ever been to. The ages of the other fans ranged from ~18 to ~60 but the average was ~25, at least that's what it seemed to me.

Both of us were wearing our diggnation shirts too ;) and will be submitting our pics to diggnation asap!

Yesterday I got to see the movie 10,000 BC for my birthday. It was a lot of fun, It's not historically accurate at all but its a great story about prophesy, bravery, love, and heroism.

Special effects were fantastic yet seamless, doing what special effects are supposed to do, make shots that are impossible to get, look real. When I was watching I didn't feel like I was looking at pretty effects, it just works and does it's job to bring you into the world and make you feel like you are in the story with the main characters.

This site will serve as a blog for myself. To make it easier, the blog is seperated into 6 distinct catagories.

Real life, Technology, and Science posts are on the Real Life Blog.

Halo, Runescape, and AE game posts are all together on the Games Blog.

They are color coded so you, the reader, may skip to the topics you are interested in.

If a blog post crosses the line between the Real Life Blog page and the Games Blog page, it will be posted on both.
